The SUDEGO – Sustainable Development Goals in the Schools project, co-financed by the European Union as part of the Erasmus + Program, even though it ended in January 2020, has produced outputs that can continue to be used in the future and are highly topical, in terms of use, since they concern online training for schools.

The project in summary: focused on five (although in fact, due to its peculiarity, it can also be extended to a sixth objective: 4 – “Quality in education”):

of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs of Agenda 2030, involved five partner countries (Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, Northern Ireland and Spain), each of which acted as a leader for a specific Goal in the creation of some innovative teaching modules aimed at teachers of lower and upper secondary schools so that they are facilitated in transmitting interest in these topics to their students.

In the initial phase of the project, each partner produced a comparative report, in terms of concrete actions, legislative innovations, operational developments, the status of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, reporting the main results obtained in achieving the 17 SDGs in their country , and in particular the results obtained in relation to the 5 SDGs on which the project is focused. In the final phase, on the other hand, guidelines were produced to offer the school community suggestions and methodological ideas useful for making the most of SUDEGO products in local contexts. The guidelines and the results of testing the modules in the schools of the five countries involved are contained in the SUDEGO e-book on the project website and can be used free of charge.

The course

The SUDEGO training platform hosts two sets of didactic modules intended for high school students of the first (introductory module) and second grade (advanced module), usable, free of charge by professors, students and more generally by any person interested in deepening the 5 SGD processed. The contents are published in Italian, Finnish, Spanish, English, Catalan and Bulgarian. Each of the 10 modules which make up the two available “paths” are organized into 3 sections

1. the didactic presentation with a group of slides
2. the manual addressed to teachers with the lesson plan, a brief study on the themes of the presentation, methodological suggestions and some bibliographic references
3. the final test addressed, at the end of the module, to students; it contains ten closed questions and the feedback for each answer, which teachers can propose at the end of the test.
